Application: | 3-Ethyl cefadroxil is a metabolite of 3(6R,7R)--Hydroxy-8-oxo-7-[(2-phenylacetyl)amino]-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid diphenylmethyl ester. 3(6R,7R)--Hydroxy-8-oxo-7-[(2-phenylacetyl)amino]-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid Diphenylmethyl Ester is a useful synthetic intermediate. It was used to prepare cephalosporin-derived inhibitors. It can also be used to synthesize Ceftaroline Fosamil which is a cephalosporin antibiotic. | |||
